Pekanbaru Trans Metro Bus Applies Non-Cash Payments

PekanbarU - Trans Metro Pekanbaru (TMP) buses impose non-cash payments using Brizzi and QRIS cards for service users starting July 16, 2023, after going through socialization for three months.

"We only received cash payments until July 15. Above that date, it is mandatory to be non-cash. Payments can use a Brizzi card or QRIS," said Head of the TMP Bus Technical Implementation Unit, Pekanbaru Transportation Service (Dishub) Sarwono, quoted by ANTARA, Sunday 16 July.

During the three months of socialization, he said, the community was able to pay non-cash, but it was not mandatory. At that time, the socialization was carried out with a written notification at the TMP bus stop, as well as by the flight attendant and flight attendant of the TMP to passengers.

Currently, his party is socializing the non-cash payment system for TMP Buses by selling cards (Brizzi) on the bus. So for people who don't have a card, they can buy it. Brizzi cards sell for IDR 25 thousand with a balance of IDR 5 thousand.

"So the card is sold for Rp. 20,000. We actually hope that BRI can also reduce the price of cards so that people are not burdened," he said again.

Head of Pekanbaru City Transportation Agency, Yuliariso, thanked BRI.

He said that the availability of non-cash payment services on TMP buses is a form of collaboration with banks.

"This non-cash payment is being pushed by the government, so it becomes an added value for all of us," he also said.
