PT Waskita Toll Road (WTR) through its subsidiaries, PT Trans Jabar Tol (TJT) and PT Transjawa Paspro Toll Road (TPJT) have completed the construction construction of the Bogor-Ciawi-Sukabumi (Bocimi) section II Cigombong-Cibadak Toll Road.

This toll road will soon operate in August.

Director of Control & QHSE, Mokh. Sadali said that his party is currently focusing on the preparation process for the operation of the Bocimi Toll Road section II.

In addition to the Bocimi Toll Road section II, Sadali said, his party is also preparing to operate the Pasuruan-Probolinggo (Paspro) section of the Probolinggo Timur-Gending section.

As is known, previously the two toll roads were operating functionally during the Eid al-Fitr 2023 homecoming period.

The functional operation is part of the initial socialization before the Cigombong-Cibadak section of the Bocimi Toll Road and the Paspro Toll Road section of Probolinggo Timur-Gending operates this year.

On July 3-4, said Sadali, a Functional Feasibility Test (ULF) and Operational Feasibility Test (ULO) were carried out on the Bocimi Toll Road section of Cigombong-Cibadak. Section II has a length of 11.9 km.

"Currently, the overall progress of the Cigombong-Cibadak section related to the operation has been completed, and it is hoped that it can operate and be effective in August 2023," he told reporters, written Thursday, July 13.

Meanwhile, continued Sadali, the Paspro toll road for the East-Gendinggo section of 8.57 Km has completed ULF and ULO on 22-23 May 2023.

"Currently waiting for the Operational Eligibility Certificate (SLO) decision to be targeted to operate in the third quarter of 2023," he said.

Sadali added that the ULF and ULO activities were carried out to ensure that all technical specifications for the requirements and road equipment on the Toll Road section in accordance with traffic management and safety standards were met properly.

"With the operation of the Bocimi Toll Road, the Cigombong-Cibadak section and the Paspro Toll Road section of the Probolinggo Timur-Gending section, it is hoped that later it will facilitate access and shorten public travel," he explained.

If it is fully operational, later the Paspro Toll Road will cut the travel time from Pasuruan to Gending.

The location of the strategic Paspro Toll Road can facilitate access to national tourism areas, such as Mount Bromo and Tengger Semeru, and also connect various areas in East Java.

The Cigombong-Cibadak Toll Road is an alternative to connecting the South Coast (Pansela) Java route in the West Java Region, with the connection of the Pansela Line with the Bocimi Toll Road which is expected to facilitate access to leading tourism areas around Sukabumi such as Pelabuhan Ratu Beach, Geopark Ciletuh, Situ Gunung to Ujung Genteng Beach.

The operation of the two new sections is a form of direct contribution from WTR in increasing connectivity between regions. We hope that the operation can shorten the travel time of the community, and can advance the economy of the surrounding population," concluded Sadali.
