The Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) is said to have floated the Customs-Excise Information System and Automation (CEISA) system to improve services to all goods senders while strengthening the supervision of imported prohibited goods.

Deputy Minister of Finance (Wamenkeu) Suahasil Nazara CEISA as well as the latest innovation in increasing state revenues in the form of import duties and taxes in order to import goods sent by Indonesian migrant workers.

"So CEISA, this system that we created, improves services to all of our goods senders, but at the same time also strengthens supervision of us protecting Indonesia," he said in a written statement on Tuesday, June 27.

According to Suahasil, this breakthrough provides convenience in importing goods sent by Indonesian migrant workers quickly, humanely, and accountably.

"To this CEISA system, there are many modules and one of the modules that are innovation is the moduli of goods sent using a contract note. With this contract note, we improve services, improve supervision, and start with friends at the regional level," he said.

Sri Mulyani's deputy explained that before the 2020 period, the importation of migrant workers' goods was notified using a Special Goods Import Notification (PIBK) which was delivered manually with the top print form. Meanwhile, innovation using a contract note through CEISA delivery goods accelerates the entire process and becomes more transparent and safer.

"We make it transparent so that we are so transparent that our fellow migrant workers can know exactly where the item they are sending now. So that we can carry out more optimal supervision, more optimal service, and more optimal supervision," he said.

Suahasil explained that the system was implemented for the first time by the Tanjung Emas Customs and Excise which was then uniformed at all service offices in Indonesia.

"We hope that we can continue to encourage our regional friends to innovate, not just waiting from the head office to carry out uniformity," he said

Suahasil added that his party is currently drafting a Draft Regulation of the Minister of Finance which contains exemption from import duties for three shipments of US $ 500 each with a total of 1,500 US dollars per year.

In addition, integrating data with the Indonesian Migrant Workers Protection Agency (BP2MI) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to encourage the integration of data on Indonesian migrant workers.
