JAKARTA - WIR Group (PT WIR Asia Tbk), a technology company based on Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Southeast Asia, was invited by the Philippine business sector to explore the application of solutions and technology for WIR Groups in the Philippines.

"In one of the agendas of a business visit to Manila, the board of directors and commissioners of WIR Group was welcomed by Frederick Go Advisor to the President of the Philippines for Investment and Economy, at the Presidential Palace Malacanang who provided support for WIR Group together with the Philippine business sector in encouraging digitalization and strengthening the technology ecosystem in the Philippines. This support is the green light from the government to continue the collaboration between WIR Group and various business sectors in the Philippines in advancing digital transformation," he said in a written statement, Friday, June 23.

In order to establish strong cooperation, WIR Group is partnered with Orbos Consulting and Advisory Group OPC (ORCA), a Philippine-based consulting and advisory management company, as a strategic partner. The purpose of this collaboration is to coordinate with each other to navigate the market and expand the target market that is right in the Philippines. This collaboration was officially inaugurated through the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the two companies on June 13, 2023 in Manila.

Thomas Orbos, the ORCA representative, said that his party is pleased to be able to forge partnerships with WIR Group, a company that has an extraordinary track record in presenting innovative digital solutions.

"With this partnership, WIR Group and ORCA hope to support each other in presenting the leading technological solutions in the Philippine market. Through this synergy, it is hoped that there will be exchanges of knowledge, experience, and resources that will accelerate the adoption of technology in various sectors in the Philippines," he explained.

Furthermore, WIR Group also held meetings with various business people such as SM Group, one of the leading conglomerates in the Philippines to explore the use of WIR Group solutions and technologies in the retail sector and properties that are one of the focuses of the SM Group. WIR Group is expected to be able to provide expertise and experience in the development of innovative digital solutions to support SM Group in targeting the wider Philippine market.

Another collaboration carried out during WIR Group's visit was the signing of the MoU with AdSpark Inc, a company engaged in advertising and digital media which is part of a portfolio of companies under the Globe Group engaged in Adtech and data: Brave Connective Holdings, Inc. under 917 ventures, the largest company incubator in the Philippines, wholly owned by Globe Telecom Inc, one of the leading telecommunications service providers from the Philippines.

In this collaboration, WIR Group will also strengthen the AdSpark digital ecosystem through various AI, AR, and VR-based technology solutions. By leveraging AR technology, AdSpark can provide a more immersive and interactive experience through visually refined content. Meanwhile, the use of AI technology, can help AdSpark in obtaining analytic data to gain deeper insight into the preferences and customer needs of the ads created.
