Airnav Serves 73,098 Flight Schedules During The Eid 2023 Period

JAKARTA - The General Company that organizes the Indonesian Aviation Navigation Service (Perum LPPNPI) or AirNav Indonesia noted that it had served 73,098 flights throughout Indonesia's airspace during the Eid 2023 transportation period.

"The movement figure is a report compiled from 51 Eid transportation posts that we held together with other aviation stakeholders at branch offices, assistant branch offices and flight navigation service units throughout Indonesia since April 17, 2023. The Command Post ends on May 2, 2023," said AirNav Polana President Director B. Pramesti in a statement in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Wednesday, May 3.

He said the peak of the homecoming flow occurred on April 19, 2023 with a total of 4,566 flights and a peak of backflow on May 1, 2023 with 4,199 flights.

Polana said that the total movement of aircraft during the Eid 2023 transportation period increased by 17 percent compared to the period in the previous year.

According to him, there are eight branches with an increase in total flights, namely Soekarno-Hatta, Denpasar, Surabaya, Ujung Pandang, Kualanamu, Balikpapan, Halim Perdanakusuma, and Sentani.

AirNav also noted that during the Lebaran 2023 period, AirNav had served 4,224 extra flight flights. "In addition, we also issued ASHTAM for two eruptive mountains on May 1, 2023, two NOTAMs in Samarinda and Balikpapan," said Polona.

AirNav also reports that the hazard of wild air balloons flying on the busiest route has dropped when compared to 2023, with 32 air balloon disturbances compiled from the pilot report.

"All these significant incidents do not affect the smooth transportation of Lebaran 2023," he said.

AirNav has also mired about the discovery of free air balloons, including by educating the public through the company's social media and inviting public figures to voice the importance of protecting Indonesia's airspace from hazards such as wild air balloons.

Then, mobilize the creativity of local residents supported by the company's social and environmental responsibility programs (TJSL), organize balloon cultural festivals tied up in Pekalongan and Wonosobo, synergize with security forces by sweeping, and coordinate with regional heads, ministries to BMKG.

Polana stated that AirNav together with other aviation stakeholders have collaborated well in providing excellent air transportation services during the Eid 2023 transportation period.
