Bank Syariah Indonesia Earns IDR 1.45 Trillion Profit In The First Quarter Of 2023

JAKARTA - PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk (BRIS) or BSI earned a net profit of IDR 1.45 trillion in the first quarter of 2023. This achievement increased 47.6 percent year on year (yoy) from IDR 987.68 billion.

In the company's financial report, quoted on Thursday, April 27, BSI recorded revenue from buying and selling of Rp2.98 trillion, revenue from the profit sharing of Rp1.39 trillion, revenue from ijarah - net Rp56.18 billion, and other main operating incomes of Rp964.73 billion.

The third party's right to share the proceeds of IDR 1.32 trillion. Meanwhile, the right to share proceeds owned by banks is IDR 4.07 trillion, an increase from the first quarter of 2022 of IDR 3.62 trillion.

BSI also posted other operating incomes of Rp. 985.58 billion. Meanwhile, there is a operating expenses consisting of salaries and allowances of Rp. 1.17 trillion, general and administration of Rp. 1.17 trillion, bonuses of Rp. 481 million, and others of Rp. 5.64 billion.

The company's operating profit per first quarter of 2023 was IDR 1.93 trillion, growing YoY from IDR 1.32 trillion in the first quarter of last year.

The amount of BSI assets as of March 31, 2023, was IDR 313.25 trillion, up from December 31, 2022, IDR 305.72 trillion. Meanwhile, the basic profit per share in the first quarter of 2023 was IDR 31.61 trillion. The figure increased compared to the same period last year of IDR 24.01 trillion.
