One way traffic engineering is enforced from KM 72 Cikampek (Cipali Toll Road) to KM 414 Kalikangkung Toll Gate (GT) Batang-Semarang Toll Road, today, from 14.50 WIB.

"On the discretion of the police, PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk supports the implementation of one-way traffic engineering today," said Corporate Communication & Community Development Group Head of PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk, Lisye Octaviana to reporters, Tuesday, April 18.

This implementation, said Lisye, was decided by ensuring that the opposite lane (west direction) had been sterile so that no road users were trapped on the way to the west of the Trans Java Toll Road from Semarang to Cikampek.

Lisye said the realization of the implementation of traffic engineering was in accordance with the schedule of Joint Decree of the Director General of Land Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation, Kakorlantas Polri and Director General of Highways of the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing on April 5, 2023 concerning Road Traffic Regulation and Crossing During Homecoming and Backflow of Eid Transportation in 2023/1444 H.

"With the implementation of one way from KM 72 Cikampek, road users from the direction of Cikampek who go to Jakarta can still access GT Cikampek Utama to get to Jakarta," he said.

Lisye said, until now, the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road and MBZ Flyover heading east or Trans Java Toll Road are still being monitored smoothly. For road users who go through one way, the police appealed to ensure that the condition of the vehicle and driver is in prime condition.

"It is forbidden to stop on the shoulder of the road except in an emergency, prohibited from changing lanes, prohibited from moving lanes suddenly, always complying with speed limits, obey traffic signs and following directions from officers in the field," he said.

"The use of the one way path is only for the destination to Semarang, one way path users can use the rest area on the right lane (the other way around it), and ensure the adequacy of e-toll balances, fuel and supplies," he continued.

Currently, Lisye said, GT Cikampek Utama operates optimally with 20 operating toll booths as well as the alerting of 14 mobile reader units to serve transactions to the east (Trans Java). This is prepared to anticipate the favorite hours of road users to travel back and forth, namely after breaking the fast, which has the potential to cause congestion.

"Actives to update travel information by downloading the Travoy application to get the latest traffic information," he said.
