Indonesian Pizza Hut Managers Can't Rise, Still Record Loss Of IDR 23.45 Billion In 2022

JAKARTA - Pizza Hut manager in Indonesia, PT Sarimelati Kencana Tbk (PZZA) recorded a net loss of IDR 23.45 billion until the end of 2022. This performance reversed from the profit of IDR 49.98 billion in the same period last year.

In PZZA's financial report, quoted on Monday, April 10, sales of the Pizza Hut outlet manager recorded an increase of 5.66 percent to Rp3.61 trillion, from the previous Rp3.41 trillion. Food sales were recorded at Rp3.38 trillion and beverages recorded sales of Rp231.28 billion, the company also recorded a sales discount of Rp8.62 billion.

Meanwhile, based on its territory, sales in Jakarta dominated with a contribution of Rp1.43 trillion, the Java-Bali region of Rp1 trillion, and Sumatra of Rp529.99 billion.

Furthermore, sales in the Sulawesi region were recorded at Rp294.24 billion, Kalimantan at Rp258.10 billion, and sales in the Eastern region were recorded at Rp90.57 billion.

Based on financial reports, the company's cost of goods sold was recorded at Rp1.18 trillion, an increase from the previous Rp1.16 trillion, and other operating expenses were recorded at Rp18.63 billion, an increase from the previous Rp16.70 billion.

In addition, a number of other expenses were also recorded to have increased, namely, selling expenses rose to Rp2.18 trillion from the previous Rp2 trillion, and general and administrative expenses to Rp230.33 billion from the previous Rp204.69 billion.

Until the end of December 2022, PZZA's total asset value grew 14.12% to Rp2.50 trillion, compared to the position at the end of 2021 which amounted to Rp2.19 trillion. The company's liabilities were recorded at Rp1.33 trillion and equity at Rp1.17 trillion.
