JAKARTA - PT Bank Mandiri Tbk has prepared cash worth IDR 49.6 trillion to meet customer funding needs ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1444 Hijri.

"Perspective preparations for the Eid holiday where there is an additional two-day joint leave in our calculation Bank Mandiri will prepare cash of IDR 49.6 trillion," said Bank Mandiri President Director Darmawan Junaidi in a Hearing Meeting with Commission VI of the Indonesian House of Representatives, quoted Wednesday, March 29.

He added that this fund was prepared with adequate bank liquidity conditions, which was reflected in the loan to deposit ratio (LDR) ratio which was still below 80 percent.

"We see that Bank Mandiri's liquidity is sufficient because we have liquidity reserves that are arguably simple. We are in the range of around Rp. 15 trillion for safety level," said Darmawan.

He also said that currently there are 15,000 transactions at Bank Mandiri per second and it is estimated that they will reach a peak on Lebaran Day of 18,000 transactions.

"We also see the potential to reach 18,000 during the peak season in Eid," he added.

Later during Lebaran, Bank Mandiri will also provide cash pick-up service initiatives (Laju) to customers in need.

"Even though there are branches that remain open, we also have a new initiative that we call Laju, a money pick-up service so that practically later services will still be provided during the Eid holiday period," concluded Darmawan.
