JAKARTA - PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBNI) has prepared IDR 45.87 trillion in cash for the Ramadan and Eid 2023 period. This amount increased by approximately 5.4 percent compared to the previous year.

BNI Corporate Secretary Okki Rushartomo said the cash funds would be allocated for ATM, CRM, and outlet fulfillment.

He projects that cash needs in the areas of Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi or Jabodetabek can reach 19 percent of the total cash prepared.

"Ramadan and Lebaran are momentum for banks to improve transaction performance," Okki said, quoting Antara.

He hopes that the cash provided will be able to encourage public consumption so that more economic activity is created.

"Hopefully the public can comfortably transact, especially using the cash we have distributed on all BNI channels," said Okki.

Okki continued that in this year's Eid period, BNI will be booming in conducting customer socialization and attention programs, especially for the use of BNI Mobile Banking digital channels.

"We hope this will be a digital tool to further encourage consumption and economic growth in this Eid al-Fitr period," said Okki.

For information, BNI has approved the distribution of cash dividends to the company's shareholders amounting to Rp7.32 trillion or each share is entitled to receive a cash dividend of Rp392.7.

At the General Meeting of Shareholders (GMS), the company agreed to distribute dividends of 40 percent of the consolidated net profit attributable to owners of the parent entity for the 2022 financial year, which amounted to IDR 18.31 trillion.
