Andre Rosiade Says The Rights Of 131 Meikarta Consumers Who Complain To The DPR Have Been Fulfilled

JAKARTA - Member of Commission VI of the House of Representatives Andre Rosiade admitted that the advocacy efforts made by the Indonesian House of Representatives against 131 Meikarta apartment consumers had paid off.

As of March 21, 2023, continued Andre, all members of the Meikarta Consumer Care Community Association (PKPKM) who complained about their fate to the people's representatives had already obtained their rights from the developer.

"Alhamdulillah, as of March 21, 2023, the rights of consumer members to ownership of Meikarta apparatus members who are members of the Meikarta Consumer Care Community Association have been fulfilled. Both through the method of entrusting the sale in the form of refunds and relocating units for those who get units," he said in his official statement, Wednesday, March 22.

Since receiving Meikarta's consumer complaints on January 18, 2023, he said, the DPR member led by the Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, moved quickly to carry out the supervisory function.

"We have summoned Commission VI Meikarta. Then we will continue with the inspection of members of the DPR led by Mr. Sufmi Dasco Ahmad to the location of the Meikarta apartment. Thank God our efforts to carry out the supervisory function to defend the interests of the community have paid off," he said.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the Meikarta Consumer Care Community Association (PKPKM) Aep Mulyana, admitted that he was relieved that Meikarta consumers who complained to the Indonesian House of Representatives had obtained their rights from developers.

Representing Meikarta consumers, Aep thanked the DPR for overseeing this issue completely.

"As the chairman of the association, I express my gratitude, gratitude and highest appreciation to Mr. and his staff, who have supported and overseeed the process of returning the consumer rights of KPKM members to completion. Hopefully, you and your family will get the greatest reward for your good deeds to us," said Aep Mulyana.
