JAKARTA - Indonesia Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) reports that the progress of the construction of meeting, incentive, convention and exhibition (MICE) areas in Golo Mori, Labuan Bajo, West Manggarai, East Nusa Tenggara has reached 90 percent.

President Director of Indonesia Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) Ari Respati in his statement Kupang, Saturday, March 11, said that the percentage includes the progress of the construction work of MICE facilities and the basic infrastructure of the area.

The MICE area is equipped with a beach club, observation deck, and wooden pier that the government plans to become one of the venues for a series of summit activities in May.

Ari said that his party is optimistic that all construction work in the MICE area can be completed according to the target by the end of the first quarter (Q1) 2023 this year.

He said the realization of the progress of the construction of each work item was the construction of regional road infrastructure reaching 92.54 percent, while the work of MICE, Beach Club, observation deck was 89.19 percent.

The progress of regional road infrastructure work includes the construction of main road lanes, road shoulder, road drainage channels, Public Street Lighting (PJU), landscapes, road markings, signs, and guardrails on the side of the road.

Meanwhile, the total progress of MICE construction work includes Convention Hall, Public Entrance, Lobby VVIP, Lounge VVIP, Meeting Room VVIP and Media Center, and Observation Deck.

Furthermore, said Ari, the development of the MICE area in Golo Mori NTT is the third government assignment for ITDC in the development of tourism destinations in Indonesia. After previously in The Nusa Dua area Bali and The Mandalika NTB.

Ari added that ITDC is also committed to carrying out this assignment as well as possible, so that it can meet the expectations and targets of the government.
