JAKARTA - Bank Mandiri is committed to expanding public access to financial services by partnering with 11 Rural Credit Banks (BPR) in the country.

The BPRs include BPR Supra Artapersada, BPR Barelang Mandiri, BPR Dana Nusantara, BPR Hasamitra, BPR Modern Express, BPR Surya Yudhakencana, BPR Surya Yudha, BPR Lestari, BPR Universal, BPR Bhakti Daya Ekonomi, and BPR Cinde Wilis.

Director of Network & Retail Banking at Bank Mandiri Aquarius Rudianto explained that the collaboration included holding the parent bank, with BPR synergy being able to connect to the GPN network, as well as cooperation with non-main banks such as Mandiri Virtual Accounts, API Retail, Co-branding & Topup Emoney, QRIS, MAD (Mandiri Auto Debit) collaboration, as well as other retail and wholesale solutions including Livin' by Mandiri and Kopra by Mandiri.

According to Aquarius, this is Bank Mandiri's commitment to assist BPRs in accelerating transformation and digitalization. One of them is by presenting solutions for BPRs in dealing with digitalization both in terms of regulations, Human Resources (HR), and infrastructure.

"This collaboration is the company's initiative to provide added value to BPRs in Indonesia, where digitization is an obligation so that a company can compete in this modern era," Aquarius told the media, Tuesday, March 7.

Aquarius said that his party would also focus on BPRs that already have an ATM card issuer permit or have a roadmap for digitalization going forward.

"Technologically, BPRs that already have ATM card permits have better technology and infrastructure readiness. Apart from that, we also focus on BPRs that have a digitalization roadmap to serve customers," he said.

Furthermore, this collaboration has also opened up services for BPR customers to be able to make transactions at GPN network ATMs, of which there are currently more than 81,727 ATM machines connected to the GPN network. Going forward, Bank Mandiri plans to continue to expand cooperation with BPR/BPRS in Indonesia to support regulatory policies in BPR/BPRS digitalization services.
