JAKARTA - PT Nusantara Regas together with PT PGN LNG Indonesia (PGN LNG) signed an Amendment to the Supporting Fleet Leasing Cooperation Agreement in order to increase the availability of a fleet of LNG carrier vessels for domestic needs in Indonesia.
This signing was carried out by the Main Director of NR, Harry Budi Sidharta, and the Main Director of PGN LNG, Nofrizal in Jakarta on Thursday 9 February.
The two companies under the Gas Subholding work together to utilize the fleet of ships in order to support the process of berthing and offshore ships carrying out LNG transfers from LNG transporting ships to the Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU).
Through this agreement, both NR and PGN LNG will become more flexible and mutually more optimal in operating their supporting fleets.

In line with Nusantara Regas, PGN LNG also expressed its optimism for this continued collaboration.

Nusantara Regas is part of the Pertamina Gas Subholding which has the main business of receiving, storing, and regasifying LNG through the Floating Storage Regasification Unit (FSRU) in Jakarta Bay and the Onshore Receiving Facilities (ORF) Muara Karang, Jakarta.
This gas is intended to provide 60 percent of the energy needs of the PLN power plant in the Jakarta and western parts of Java. NR also contributes to the utilization of natural gas for electricity generation in order to be able to reduce fuel subsidies, as well as encourage the use of energy that is more environmentally friendly.
