Message from the Minister of Manpower for Interns to Japan: Take the Culture of Hard Work to Cleanliness

JAKARTA - The Minister of Manpower, Ida Fauziyah, asked participants in the apprenticeship selection program before leaving for Japan to really understand first the culture of the people of that country.

Ida also advised the participants who passed to maintain the good name of Indonesia. By still maintaining the good culture that belongs to the Indonesian people, such as mutual help, responsibility, and smiling.

Ida conveyed this while attending the National Selection for the Apprenticeship Program to Japan at the Office of Manpower and Transmigration in West Nusa Tenggara Province.

According to Ida, Japan really needs workers from Indonesia because they are considered hard workers and friendly.

"That's why younger siblings continue to maintain the good cultures that exist in our country and take a good culture from Japan, such as hard work, discipline, and maintaining cleanliness", she said in an official statement, Sunday, February 12.

Ida said, until now, Japan has become one of the countries that have become apprentice destinations. Japan has also succeeded in becoming a developed country due to its success in managing its demographic bonus.

“Our country is currently getting a demographic bonus. Our country must also be able to become a developed country by managing it properly. Because if we cannot take advantage of this demographic bonus, this is a demographic disaster, many people will be unemployed, then social problems will arise, and that will be dangerous for this nation", she said.

In addition, Ida said the government would protect its citizens who work or do internships abroad. According to him, the protection of Indonesian citizens abroad is the state's obligation.

"Work is the right of every citizen, apprentice, too. The government cannot forbid or order. When that right is taken away, the government's obligation is to ensure that it protects all younger siblings who work or do internships abroad", she said.

On this occasion, Ida also asked the apprentices to become ambassadors of the nation or tourism ambassadors by campaigning for tourism in Indonesia, such as Mandalikan, Borobudur and Labuan Bajo.

"So I hope, younger siblings can play a simple role but bring the nation's good name and bring the image of the Indonesian nation in the eyes of the world", she concluded.

For your information, the selection of apprenticeship programs in Japan is a collaboration between the Ministry of Manpower and International Manpower Japan (IM Japan). The selection this time was attended by 165 people from NTB.
