Menparekraf Sandiaga About Harpitnas Being A National Holiday: We Have Socialized It With The Ministry Of Administrative And Bureaucratic Reform

JAKARTA - Discourse about Harpitnas (or a working day that come between 2 holidays) being made a holiday continues to reap pros and cons in various circles.

The Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Uno considered this to be reasonable.

According to Sandiaga, the Harpitnas policy means that this year's holidays can start at a certain time first.

"Don't all the dozens of holidays, which if they fall on Sunday or fall on Saturday, be put forward to Friday, or postponed to Monday if it's Sunday," said Sandiaga.

Previously, Menparekraf Sandiaga stated the government's target for the movement of domestic tourists was to reach 1.4 billion movements, in 2023.

Moreover, said Sandiaga, the easing of PPKM regulations and the ease of doing domestic travel have recently increased the potential for spontaneous tourism in Indonesia.
