Central Government Discusss On Permen Revisions Regarding Roof PLTS

JAKARTA - Director General of New, Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation (EBTKE) Dadan Kusdiana revealed that his party is currently discussing the revision of Ministerial Regulation Number 26 of 2021 which regulates the utilization of Roof PLTS to encourage optimization of the utilization of Roof Solar Power Plants (PLTS).

"In the future, there will be no capacity limit per customer as long as the roof PLTS development quota is still available. Electric exports will no longer be calculated as reducing bills and eliminating capacity costs for industrial-class customers. In addition, existing customers will follow the new rules after the contract ends or the maximum period return is achieved. 10 years, "said Dadan to the media, Saturday, January 14.

Roof PLTS, he continued, has now become a solution for utilizing renewable energy in urban areas with limited land.

The potential for Roof PLTS nationally reaches 32.5 GW from household, industrial, business, social and government customers, with its use only reaching around 80 MWp by the end of 2022.

He further said that the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) continues to encourage the participation of business actors in supporting efforts to achieve the Net Zero Emission (NZE) target by 2060 or sooner, as well as meeting the national energy mix target from new and renewable energy (EBT) by 23 percent by 2025.

One of the strategic programs being developed by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources is massive roof development.

"The development of Roof PLTS is a strategic program for the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, not only from an energy perspective, but also from an economic perspective. We are preparing an ecosystem so that supply chains and utilization occur domestically," continued Dadan.

On this occasion, Dadan also expressed his appreciation and appreciation to PT Jababeka Tbk for encouraging the use of EBT with the installation of a Roof PLTS with a capacity of 230 kWp.

This was achieved through a collaboration between PT Jababeka Infrastruktur and PT Pertamina Power Indonesia. This addition will increase the utilization of Roof PLTS in the Jababeka industrial area which has reached 3.5 MWp.

"The current trend of global market competition requires the industry to create green products whose production process uses EBT sources. The national economy will grow towards a green economy supported by green industry. It is hoped that this can become a role model for other industrial areas," concluded Dadan.

Roof PLTS is one of PT Jababeka Tbk's efforts to achieve NZE.

In the Jababeka Industrial area, there are eight tenants that use a Roof PLTS with a total capacity of 3,521.3 kWp or around 3.5 MWp.

In addition, there is the potential of 12 tenants to install a Roof PLTS with a total capacity of around 4.7 MWp.
