JAKARTA - PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk stated that it had succeeded in achieving the realization of the distribution of people's business loans (KUR) in 2022 of IDR 40 trillion by the target given by the government as the main shareholder.

Bank Mandiri's SEVP Micro & Consumer Finance Josephus K. Triprakoso said the tens of trillions of KUR values were distributed to 351,000 MSME business actors throughout Indonesia.

"In detail, Bank Mandiri's KUR distribution last year was dominated by the productive sector by 59.7 percent or IDR 23.8 trillion", he said in a press statement on Friday, January 13.

According to Josephus, the good score in 2022 continues the company's positive trend which always achieves the government's KUR target from year to year.

"This is a form of our active participation in supporting the development of MSMEs in the country", he said.

Josephus added this time the KUR program is also an important medium in improving and expanding access to finance for business actors in the productive sector.

"We are targeting businesses in the agricultural, fishery, processing industry, and production services categories which are supported by the synergy of all businesses, strong coordination across networks, and strategic cooperation with financial and e-commerce companies", he explained.

The business entity with the stock code BMRI is known to have around 13,969 fostered MSMEs with a workforce of more than 50,000 people.

Meanwhile, the BMRI KUR target for the 2023 period was recorded to have increased by 20 percent year on year (YoY) to IDR 48 trillion by targeting the productive agricultural sector, production services, oil and gas, and the retail trade sector.

"We are optimistic that we can meet the targets set by the government which is in line with Bank Mandiri's commitment to encourage the people's economy and become an urban locomotive through the development of highly competitive MSMEs", he concluded.
