JAKARTA - PJ Governor of the Bangka Belitung Islands Ridwan Djamaluddin together with PT PLN (Persero) inaugurated rural electricity on Rengit Island, Badau, Belitung Regency.

"Thank you for the participation of the residents who have been very helpful in bringing generator equipment, installing networks and generating. So that the construction of this power plant can run smoothly and quickly," Agung said in an official statement, Thursday, January 12.

General Manager of the Bangka Belitung Regional Main Unit (UIW Babel) PLN Ajrun Karim said, until now in Belitung there have been 9 islands with isolated electricity generating systems. This system is a system with one electricity center and is not interconnected with PLN's general network, so it can minimize investment costs related to transmission and distribution.

"PLN continues to strive to realize energy justice by distributing electricity to remote areas. Thanks to government support, the realization of the ratio of electricityed villages in all corners of Indonesia can continue to increase," continued Ajrun.

PJ, the Governor of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province, Ridwan Djamaluddin, in his remarks expressed his appreciation for PLN's efforts to electrify the islands in Bangka Belitung Province, especially Rengit Island.

"I would like to thank PLN and the community who have cooperated together to build rural electricity on Rengit Island. So that the government's program to electrify villages, especially the 3T island, can be carried out properly," said Ridwan.

Furthermore, Ridwan hopes that the community can make the best use of PLN electricity. Especially for productive activities that can support the community's economy.

"It is necessary to remind the public, with the availability of electricity from PLN, it is hoped that it can be used wisely and efficiently. In the long term, MSMEs are also expected to emerge that can improve the community's economy," he concluded.
