Long-distance Train Tickets Already Attend 52 Percent Of The Target In The Christmas And New Year Period

JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or KAI targets the sale of 2.4 million long-distance train tickets. Currently, ticket sales have reached 52 percent of this target.

Meanwhile, KAI has set the Christmas and New Year period from 22 December 2022 to 8 January 2023.

"Long-distance train tickets during the Nataru period which have been sold until December 25, 2022 are 1.2 million tickets or around 52 percent," said KAI VP Public Relations Joni Martinus to reporters, Sunday, December 25.

Joni is optimistic that the number will continue to increase, because sales are still ongoing. He said, the favorite sales for the Christmas and New Year periods were Jakarta - Yogyakarta pp.

Then, Jakarta - Solo pp; Jakarta - Surabaya pp; Jakarta - Purwokerto pp; Bandung - Surabaya pp; Yogyakarta - Surabaya pp; Yogyakarta - Banyuwangi pp; and others.

"The favorite departure date for homecoming is on December 23, 2022, while for backflow on January 1, 2023," he said.

Joni said the public does not need to worry about running out of tickets because there are still many tickets provided.

"KAI hopes that the public can plan their trip well because the train tickets for the 2023 Christmas and New Year holidays are still quite widely available," he said.
