PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan and Ratu Boko (PT TWC) are targeting the number of visits during the 2022 Christmas and New Year 2023 periods to reach 166,843 tourists. In order to achieve this target, TWC presents various attractions for tourists.
President Director of PT TWC Edy Setijono said as Indonesia Heritage Management is fully committed to managing sustainable and quality heritage and culture destinations.
"One of them is done by ensuring the readiness of all destinations managed by PT TWC, in order to face the 2022/2023 Christmas & New Year (Nataru) holiday season, in order to present an inspiring, educational, and cultured destination and provide a sense of security and comfort for tourists," he told reporters, Sunday, December 25.
PT TWC itself has set a busy period for the 2022 Christmas and 2023 New Year holidays in the period 24 December 2022 to 2 January 2023.
Edy said during that period tourists can visit up to the courtyard or courtyard of Borobudur Temple, from 07.00 to 17.30 WIB.
"PT TWC targets the number of visits during the 2022/2023 Nataru Ramaish period in TWCB destinations during the period 24 December 2022 to 2 January 2023, amounting to 166,843 tourists," he said.
Furthermore, Edy said that his party predicts that the peak of the visit will occur on January 1, 2023, at the moment of the New Year, which is 24,372 tourists.
"To pamper tourists when visiting the Borobudur Temple destination, PT TWC has prepared a variety of interesting attractions, including Edukriya Go Green, which is a synergy with art actors from the Borobudur community," he said.
Edy said, Go Green's education will be held during the 2022/2023 Nataru Ramaish period, namely on December 24 to 31, 2022 and January 1, 2023.
"Tourists can exchange the plastic bottles they bring to get experience making crafts inspired by Borobudur Temple, made from plastic waste and other supporting materials, to take home as souvenirs," he said.
According to Edy, Go Green's edu craft is a media for education for tourists, regarding the concept of Go Green in TWCB destinations through activities that can be done directly by tourists.
During the 2022/2023 Nataru Ramaish Period, PT TWC also synergizes with art studios around Borobudur. Tourists can enjoy Borobudur traditional dance performances, during a visit to the TWCB destination.
In order to secure the TWCB destination, PT TWC deployed 108 internal security personnel, and was supported by 124 external security personnel consisting of Pam Samping, TNI and Polri.
