JAKARTA - SOE Minister Erick Thohir ensured PLN's readiness to serve electricity needs at the G20 event in Bali. Erick directly checked the condition of the Public Electric Vehicle Charging Station (SPKLU) at Central Park ITDC Nusa Dua Bali on Wednesday 9 November.

On this occasion, Erick conveyed a message to the SOEs involved so that they could give their respective roles optimally in this international event.

"I also ordered PLN, Angkasa Pura I, Telkom, and InJourney to ensure the best service, starting from airports, internet network connectivity, hotels, and reliability of electricity supply," said Erick.

He added that all SOEs involved were ready to make the G20 Summit in Bali successful from 15 to 16 November.

"We together with the President have checked a number of venues that will be the location of the G20 summit. God willing, all of them are ready to entertain guests from other countries," he added.

This visit was carried out in order to ensure the readiness of all PLN officers who were alerted to guard the security of electricity supply for the upcoming G20 Summit (KTT).

PLN's Generation Management Director, Adi Lumakso, explained that PLN's preparations for the G20 Summit were now 100 percent complete. Including the SPKLU infrastructure that is prepared to serve hundreds of electric vehicles during the G20 Summit.

"PLN has prepared 66 SPKLUs to serve 636 cars. They are spread out in several locations, including ITDC 1 and 2 as well as in Apurva Kempinski. In addition, there are 200 home chargers to serve battery charging for 290 motorcycles," he explained.

To ensure the suitability of the inlet (charging port) of each vehicle in the SPKLU, with a nozzle or connector, PLN together with other partners provides several types of SPKLU Ultra Fast Charging which will be served directly by PLN officers.

"Especially for electric vehicle battery recharging services, PLN has 128 personnel on standby 24 hours at the location while still coordinating with Paspampres," Adi explained.

He also said that the SPKLU is equipped with supporting applications, namely Charge. In and a dashboard application that can monitor the entire performance of each SPKLU.

"This application is an internal development developed by PLN in Bali to make it easier for personnel to supervise the availability of SPKLU," he concluded.

The working visit carried out by the Ministry of SOEs was then continued by the Secretary of the Ministry of SOEs, Susyanto, to the Command Post for Security Supply Security at the G20 Summit at the Mercure Hotel, Nusa Dua.
