The National Committee Prepares 19 Bilateral Rooms for Member States at the G20 Summit

JAKARTA - The National Committee for the Presidency of the G20 Indonesia is said to have prepared a special room that can be used by member countries in holding bilateral state meetings at the High-Level Conference (KTT). This was conveyed directly by the Secretary of the Ministry of State Secretariat, Setya Utama.

"We have prepared 19 bilateral rooms for them to hold meetings", he said during a press conference on Monday, November 7.

According to him, the room is designed in such a way that it is hoped that it can support the work of the delegates in achieving the strategic agenda of their respective countries.

"Hopefully when they come together they can reach a good agreement that we are waiting for together", he said.

Especially for Indonesia, continued Setya, it was recorded that there had been proposals for bilateral meetings from several friendly countries. Even so, he still could not provide further information regarding which countries wished to meet with the Head of State.

"There are several requests for bilateral meetings with Indonesia or several countries, but I can't tell anyone because this is still dynamic", he said.

"For the substance, maybe we can continue to update in the future together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding this", he asserted.

For information, the series of G20 summit meetings will take place from Sunday, November 13, 2022. Meanwhile, the summit of heads of state/government will be held on November 15-16, 2022 which is marked by the handover of the G20 leadership relay to India for the 2023 period.
