JAKARTA - Indonesia posted a trade contract for the shell of oil palm kernel for Japan's 138.2 million US dollars worth of renewable energy.
The agreement was made through a business meeting and the signing of a trade agreement in Tokyo, Japan.
“ The implementation of this business meeting is a concrete step and collaboration between the Indonesian government and the central government, representatives of the Republic of Indonesia in Japan, and associations in increasing the export of the Indonesian palm oil kernel commodity to Japan," said Director General of National Export Development Didi Sumedi in a statement in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Wednesday, September 28.
Didi said Indonesia is one of the commodity-producing countries for the shell of oil palm kernels. In 2021, 87.1 percent of the export destinations of palm kernel shells are Japanese countries.
The Indonesian Ministry of Trade together with the Indonesian Palm Oil Candidate Entrepreneurs Association (Apcasi) facilitated six Indonesian palm kernel shell commodity companies.
The business meeting that produced the trade contract was part of a series of trade missions titled Business Meeting of Indonesia Palm Kernel Shell which was held on the same day.
Didi also appreciated the support and cooperation of Apcasi and the Japanese trade representative who collaborated with Indonesian representatives in Japan in increasing the export of renewable energy for the shell of the Indonesian palm oil kernel to Japan.
