A Value Of Rp. 100 Billion, Anson Company Gets A Commitment To Provision Of 10,000 Cold Storage Pallet From Alpine Cool

JAKARTA - PT Anson Esindo Lestari (Anson Company) signed a collaboration with PT Alpine Cool Utama (Alpine) to provide a cooling chain in Indonesia. The cooperation of Rp. 100 billion was realized in the form of Rp. 60 billion for purchase orders (PO) and Rp. 40 billion in the form of a letter of intent (LoI) for the provision of integrated transportation system to Anson.

Anson CEO Dennis Rendiwinata said this strategic collaboration lasted until the end of 2024, for the provision of 10,000 cold storage pallets or cooling chains in various locations.

Then, the revitalization of fishery processing plants in Sungailiat, Bangka Belitung, expansion of the 60 tons tube ice project in Jakarta which will be developed to other areas such as Bangka Belitung, Palembang, Balikpapan, and Lampung.

In addition, increasing the capacity of block ice factories in the same location from the current 214 tons per day to 500 tons per day until 2024.

"We are optimistic that this collaboration will expand market share and cooling chain business, and make us a solution for customers (B2C) and industry players in the cooling market in Indonesia (B2B)," Dennis said, quoted by Antara, Sunday, September 25.

Data from the Indonesian Cooling Chain Association (ARPI) states that the target of cold chain industry players this year reaches 35 percent year on year (yoy) or 109,000 tons (2021) to 150,000 tons (2022).

Previously, the realization of the growth of the cold supply chain industry in 2020-2021 reached 9 percent (98,000-109,000 tons) and the initial target was 120,000 tons. Throughout the first quarter of 2022, the cold chain installation contract has touched 40,000 tons and this is the basis for ARPI's confidence in increasing its 35 percent growth target this year.

The factors that trigger the growth of cold chain logistics in 2022 are the high trend of sending frozen processed foods and storage needs for the distribution of the third dose of COVID-19 vaccine (booster). Demand for cold chain installations outside Java has also emerged.
