Already Managed Contracts Of IDR 3.9 Trillion, Waskita Beton Pursues Big Project Acquisition Target In Semester II

JAKARTA - PT Waskita Beton Precast Tbk as a subsidiary of Waskita Karya recorded an increase in the value of new contracts in the first semester of 2022 of IDR 665 billion or 14 percent compared to the same period in 2021. For this addition, the total value of new contracts obtained by the company has reached IDR 3.9 trillion.

"We continue to strive so that we can achieve the target value of the new contract until the end of 2022," said Waskita Beton Precast Operations Director Sugiharto in a release quoted by Antara, Tuesday, August 16.

Until the first semester of 2022 Waskita Beton Precast obtained several large projects that were obtained by Waskita Beton Precast which were dominated by Waskita Group's internal contracts of 86 percent, including the Kayu Agung-Palembang-Betung Toll Road Project, the Cibitung-Cilincing Toll Road Project, and the Ciawi -Sukabumi Section 2 Toll Road Project.

Meanwhile, 14 percent of the external market included the Semarang - Demak Toll Road Package 2 Development Project, the Kamal Polder Development Project, and the 150KV Selaru Sebuku SUTT Development Project, South Kalimantan.

Thus, 86 percent of the new contract value segmentation (internal and external) comes from State-owned Enterprises (BUMN) or Regional-owned Enterprises (BUMD) and 14 percent from the private sector. Meanwhile, in terms of products, 54 percent of the segmentation comes from precast products, 4 percent from readymix, 40 percent from construction services, and the rest from equipment and quarry rentals.

"We have qualified resources where Waskita Beton Precast has 9 plants, 31 batching plants, and one quarry spread across Indonesia," said Sugiharto.

In the second half of this year, the company is targeting several large projects that are expected to increase the company's performance, such as toll road projects, bridges, buildings, and other projects.

In the future, Waskita Beton Precast targets an increase in the retail market and is optimistic that it can continue to increase to 2x.
