The Ministry Of Transportation Issues 4 SE For The Latest Travel Requirements, Here's The Contents...

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) has issued a Circular (SE) regarding the Instructions for the Implementation of Traveling People with Domestic Transportation during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The four SEs from the Ministry of Transportation are SE No. 77 for air transportation, SE No. 78 (sea transportation), No. 79 (land transportation), and No. 80 (rail transportation).

"This SE will be effective on August 11, 2022," said Ministry of Transportation Spokesperson Adita Irawati as quoted by Antara, Monday, August 15.

Adita said that this SE was published in accordance with the issuance of the SE Task Force for Handling COVID-19 Number 23 of 2022 regarding the provisions for travel for domestic people during the COVID-19 pandemic.

There are a number of changes to the provisions of the domestic travel conditions contained in the SE, namely the obligation of domestic travelers (PPDN) to carry out a 3x24 hour PCR test whose samples were taken before departure, if they have not received a third dose of vaccination (booster).

"So travelers who have just received the first or second dose of vaccine must show a negative result of the RT-PCR test," said Adita.

Furthermore, other provisions contained in the latest SE are:

1) PPDN aged 6-17 years and have received a second dose of vaccination, are not required to show a negative result of the RT-PCR test or rapid antigen test;

2) PPDN aged 6-17 years and have received the first dose of vaccination, must show a negative result of rapid antigen test whose sample is taken within 1 x 24 hours or negative result of RT-PCR test whose sample is taken within 3 x 24 hours before departure;

3) PPDN aged 6-17 years who come from overseas travel and have not received vaccinations, are excluded from the obligation to show a vaccination card and must show a negative rapid antigen test result whose sample is taken within 1 x 24 hours or a negative RT-test result. 4) PPDN aged 6-17 years with special health conditions or comorbid diseases that prevent travelers from receiving vaccinations are excluded from the vaccination requirements.

However, it is mandatory to show a negative rapid antigen test result whose sample is taken within 1 x 24 hours or a negative RT-PCR test result whose sample is taken within 3 x 24 hours before departure and the requirement is to attach a doctor's certificate from a Government Hospital stating that the person concerned has not and/or is unable to take part in the COVID19 vaccination;

5) PPDNs under 6 years of age are exempt from vaccination requirements and are not required to show negative results from the RT-PCR test or rapid antigen test, but must travel with a companion who has met the provisions for vaccination and COVID-19 examination and applies strict health protocols .

This rule is excluded for routine trips using land transportation modes using private or public vehicles, and trains in one urban agglomeration area/area, pioneering modes of transportation including in border areas, underdeveloped, frontier, outermost (3T) areas, and limited shipping in accordance with conditions of each area.
