600,000 Tons Of Cooking Oil Has Been Disbursed From Data Simirah

JAKARTA - The Director of the Food, Seafood, and Fisheries Industry of the Ministry of Industry, Emil Satria said, currently no less than 600,000 tons of cooking oil have been distributed based on data from the Bulk Cooking Oil Information System (Simirah).

"So far, no less than 600,031.27 tons of cooking oil have been distributed by 47 producers of Crude Palm Oil (CPO) and 77 producers of cooking oil to the public," Emil said as quoted by Antara, Tuesday, August 2.

According to Emil, almost all business actors registered with Simirah distribute the bulk cooking oil they produce.

Emil added that the Simirah program aims to optimize the distribution of cooking oil to ensure availability and meet community needs at affordable prices.

It is known that the Ministry of Industry is building Simirah which includes CPO producers, palm cooking oil producers, distributors, retailers, to process transactions to consumers.

The system is also one of the traceability steps in meeting domestic needs as a prerequisite for exports.

In addition, the palm oil export process has also been accelerated through a flush-out mechanism or payment of special export duty rates in accordance with PMK Number 102/2022 by exporters of CPO and/or Cooking Oil who do not have Export Rights from the distribution of subsidized bulk cooking oil.

Next, provide temporary relaxation of export levy tariffs to 0 US dollars per Metric Ton (MT) from July 15 to August 30, 2022, as well as the transfer of export rights between companies.
