JAKARTA - The state-owned construction company PT PP (Persero) Tbk (PTPP) together with 32 other state-owned companies also supports the 2022 Pesantrenpreneur Applied Business Program (Vocational).

To support the event, PTPP also attended the Ceremony of the Launching of the BUMN Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) Collaboration Program located at the Qomaruddin Islamic Boarding School, Gresik Regency, East Java on Friday 10 June.

The ceremony was also attended and proclaimed directly by the Minister of SOEs of the Republic of Indonesia, Erick Thohir. The Minister of BUMN RI is optimistic that through this activity, it can continue to mobilize state-owned companies to be able to contribute to the people's economy.

The activities of the Applied Business Program (Vocational) for Pesantrenpreneurs aim to strengthen the commitment of SOEs in improving the quality of entrepreneurship education in Islamic boarding schools through applied business programs (vocational).

The program, which was initiated by the Ministry of SOEs, began with the 2022 Presantren Preneur Training of Trainer, which was attended by 78 Islamic boarding schools. Training of Trainers is a training activity for caregivers to improve the quality of hard skills as a provision of knowledge and experience to be taught to students at Islamic Boarding Schools.

"Through the Applied Business Program (Vocational) for Pesantrenpreneur 2022, PTPP hopes that state-owned companies can encourage and build the independence of each Islamic boarding school through improving the skills of their students. PTPP hopes that the students who receive the training can have an entrepreneurial spirit and can see all opportunities existing businesses by utilizing the technology that is currently developing," said Agus Purbianto, PTPP's Director of Finance and Risk Management in his statement, quoted on Tuesday, June 14.
