JAKARTA - AirAsia Indonesia will reopen scheduled flight services to the Labuan Bajo destination from Bali from May 20, 2022, with flights scheduled four times a week, every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday.
This flight service uses an Airbus A320 aircraft with a capacity of 180 passengers. Each passenger on this flight gets 20kg of free baggage allowance and 7kg of cabin baggage.
"We are very grateful to our loyal customers and all Indonesian people who continue to support our presence in their favorite destinations. This support makes us even more excited to prepare more of our fleet to accommodate additional operations on other routes that have the potential to reopen," said AirAsia Indonesia President Director, Veranita Yosephine in a press release, reported by Antara, Sunday, May 22.
According to Veranita, with the abolition of the COVID-19 test requirement for foreign tourists who have been fully vaccinated to enter Indonesia, there is the potential for a huge increase in the number of bookings in the next few weeks, especially from Australia to Bali which also coincides with the winter holiday in there.
"By taking advantage of this moment, we hope that Australian tourists who fly to Bali and want to continue their vacation in Labuan Bajo can use this flight service that we have just reopened," she said.
Furthermore, AirAsia sees a strategic role in improving the interconnectivity of Labuan Bajo with other destinations through Bali which is directly connected to various international and domestic destinations.
