JAKARTA - PT Sariguna Primatirta Tbk (CLEO), a member of the Tanobel Group belonging to conglomerate Hermanto Tanoko, is increasingly confident in expanding this year. Sariguna Deputy President Director Melisa Patricia said that the prospect of bottled drinking water (AMDK) continues to grow with increasing demand. "Therefore, we are committed to continuing to add factories and production capacity so that CLEO can continue to meet the drinking water needs of the Indonesian people," said Melisa in her statement, Thursday, May 12.

Melisa said the company continues to add new factories outside Java, namely Sumatra and Kalimantan. Each of these factories is projected to have a capacity of up to 100 million liters per year.

This corporate action is in line with the high demand for bottled water and as the company's anticipation of the surge in demand. To date, Sariguna has 27 AMDK processing plants plus three other factories which are projected to be completed this year.

"Seeing the bright prospect and the continued increase in demand for drinking water, in the future, we will not only add factories and capacity, but also add to the CLEO distribution network, both internal and external distributors," Melisa added.

The Company has a distribution network spread across a number of regions in Indonesia, including Java, Sumatra, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Bali, East Nusa Tenggara, West Nusa Tenggara, and Papua with a total network of 200 internal distributors and 1.515 total external distributors.

Melisa also hopes that with the spread of Cleo's products and distribution network, it can increase the company's market share so that it can continue to look for new opportunities. "The company is optimistic that it can provide even better performance until the end of this year," said Melisa.

For information, Sariguna has two products that are offered to the public, namely bottles and non-bottles. Seeing the positive growth of bottled water, Cleo's non-bottled products are still the main contributor to sales, amounting to 51 percent in the first quarter of 2022.
