JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (VOI) reported that the volume of long-distance train customers on the return flow from 6 to 8 May 2022 reached 389,812 customers or an average of 129,937 customers per day with 106 percent occupancy.

Furthermore, Joni said that if KAI faced the backflow density, it would operate 214 train trips on D+3, up 5 percent compared to the beginning of the Eid transportation period on D-10, which was 204 train trips.

He said the available seating capacity also increased 9 percent to 122,861 seats per day.

"Another readiness that KAI has made is by continuously alerting postal officers for services and security, both internally and externally," he stressed.

"There are still quite a lot of return tickets available for departures on May 9 and so on," he said.

For information, KAI has set the Lebaran transportation period, which is D-10 to D+10 or April 22 to May 13, 2022.

Meanwhile, as of May 6, KAI had sold 2,192,032 long-distance train tickets or 83 percent of the total tickets provided.

As for the period H-10 to H+2 or May 5, KAI has served 1,514,554 customers or an average of 108,182 customers per day with an average occupancy of 90 percent.
