Angkasa Pura II: The Surge Of Homecomers At Soekarno-Hatta Airport Has Happened Since April 22, 2022

JAKARTA - PT Angkasa Pura (AP) II Persero stated that the surge in passengers traveling for Eid al-Fitr 1443 Hijri at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Tangerang, Banten, had occurred since April 22, 2022, as previously predicted.

"We can convey according to predictions from April 22, the number or spike in passenger movements has occurred," said AP II President Director Muhammad Awaluddin in Tangerang, quoted from Antara, Monday, April 25.

He said, passenger departures at 20 flight terminals at Soekarno-Hatta Airport had occurred quite significantly, where there were recorded around 160,000 passenger movements that occurred on April 22.

Likewise, the average number of take-off landing planes in one day occurred in the 600's, he continued, now it has become around 900.

Therefore, his party will also ensure the readiness of the Lebaran homecoming post services that have been prepared.

"First of all, we have prepared the implementation of SOPs, both operations to the airport and related to take-off traffic as well as the readiness of health protocols according to directions from the government," he said.

In addition, he said, his party also ensured the readiness of airport infrastructure facilities by re-activating a number of terminals after previously being closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

"We are also preparing personnel both in adequacy and skill. And as is known for personnel support during Lebaran this year's homecoming there are approximately 5,700 officers who are members of a number of relevant stakeholders," he said.

He revealed, AP II also predicts that the peak of the homecoming flow will occur on April 30, 2022, with an estimated movement of about 180 thousand passengers, and specifically at Soekarno-Hatta Airport it is not less than 120 thousand passenger movements, so that his party is ready to anticipate it.

"For the reverse flow, we estimate that there will be no less movement in the figure of around 200 thousand. And the peak flow will occur on May 28, 2022," he said.
