JAKARTA - PT United Tractors Tbk (UNTR) is optimistic that it will be able to sell 3,700 heavy equipment throughout 2022. Director of United Tractors Iman Nurwahyu said the company sees the dynamics of the market that is growing and increasingly dynamic and he believes that 2022 will be better than 2021.

"This year, the triggers are two sectors, namely coal and nickel mining, which are expected to continue to increase. We plan to go higher than last year," said Iman in a press conference explaining United Tractors' performance, Friday, April 8.

Based on his observations from January to March 2022, continued Iman, the company managed to record sales of 1,058 units of Komatsu heavy equipment. This number increased 154 percent from the realization in the same period last year of 416 units. United Tractors also recorded a national market share of 30 percent as of February 2022.

Meanwhile, PT United Tractors Tbk has also allocated capital expenditure (capex) of US$750 million to US$800 million for this year. Director of United Tractors Iwan Hadiantoro revealed that this capital expenditure allocation increased from last year's capital expenditure realization which was only US$ 190 million.

He detailed that the allocation was mostly to support capital expenditures in the mining services and mining business of 570 million US dollars, and the gold mine for factory infrastructure development of 170 million US dollars.

"The rest is divided equally for other businesses, such as construction machinery, it will probably spend 40 million US dollars and another 4 million US dollars," said Iwan.

In the presentation of its performance, United Tractors will distribute cash dividends to shareholders worth Rp. 4.6 trillion or the equivalent of 45 percent of net profit in 2021.

Holders of one UNTR share will receive a dividend of Rp1,240. In detail, Rp. 335 or a total of Rp. 1.2 trillion has been paid as an interim dividend in October 2021.
