Young People Please Get Ready! Erick Thohir Opens 2.700 Vacancies In State-owned Companies In April

JAKARTA - The Ministry of SOEs plans to open 2,700 job vacancies in April 2022. These vacancies will be placed in various state-owned companies ranging from banking, housing, telecommunications and so on.

As stated by the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Tohir in a public lecture entitled "Millennials and Digitalization Encouraging National Economic Growth" at Hasanuddin University (Unhas) Makassar.

"We are also now opening as many as 2.700 job opportunities. Hopefully this April we can recruit," he said, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, March 30.

He explained, opening job opportunities for millennials so that the young population in BUMN can continue to support the sustainability of leadership in BUMN in the future so that it will be more secure.

"Allah SWT gives ideas, extraordinary works of art to humans, but age has a limit. This means that continuing leadership is important," he said.

On this occasion, Erick Tohir also continued to encourage the performance of SOEs to find innovations so that the country was no longer dependent on imports.

"Like Bio Farma, we are talking about inventions, both vaccines, and medicines made in Indonesia. If not, then we will continue to depend on imported medicines whose raw materials are 95 percent imported. Likewise, medical equipment is also imported," he said.
