JAKARTA - The company owned by Hutomo Mandala Putra alias Tommy Suharto, PT Humpuss Intermoda Transport Tbk (HITS) sold 44.27 million treasury stock to a trading company, PT Sarana Niaga Buana.

Director of Humpuss Intermoda Transport Kemal Imam Santoso said that the company had sold 44.27 million treasury shares at a release price of IDR 300 per share on Thursday, March 24.

Thus, Humpuss Intermoda successfully pocketed the proceeds from the sale of around IDR 13.28 billion. Along with the release of the shares, now the company's treasury shares are 219 million shares.

"The remaining treasury stock currently stands at 219 million or equal to 3.09 percent of the company's total shares," Kemal explained in a written statement, quoted Monday, March 28.

The buyer of the HITS treasury shares is PT Sarana Niaga Buana, which is a non-affiliated party.

Previously, the management of the issuer which is engaged in sea transportation services said that in 2022 the company will prepare a capital expenditure or capital expenditure (capex) of 11.32 million US dollars or equivalent to IDR 161 billion to support the maritime and petrochemical sectors.
