Now Malaysian Companies Officially Become 'Supervisors' Of Kertajati Airport Commercial Area, Why?

JAKARTA - PT PP Properti Tbk (PPRO) has divested its assets by releasing its shares in the Aerocity commercial area of Kertajati Airport, West Java.

Meanwhile, Aerocity Kertajati was taken over by a company called PT Manakib Rezeki (Manakib Realty). The signing of the CSPA (conditional sell purchase agreement) of PT PPRO BIJB Aerocity Development (PBAD) shares between PT Manakib Rezeki, PT PPRO Tbk, and PT BIJB Aerocity Development was held on March 26, 2022, at the Ritz Carlton, Jakarta, which was attended and inaugurated directly by the Minister Malaysian Economics YB Mr Dato' Sri Mustapa Mohamed.

"In the agreement, PT Manakib Rezeki acquired a 51 percent stake in PBAD, a state-owned joint venture company between BUMN and BUMD," the management wrote in a press statement, quoted Monday, March 28.

For information, the Aerocity Kertajati area of West Java is an aerocity designed as the first aerotropolis city in Indonesia that has an independent city concept. Aeropolis provides facilities that include international standard hotels, Hajj and Umrah facilities, international hospitals, apartments, commercial residences, office buildings, bussines parks, industrial and logistics areas with a total area of up to 3,480 hectares supported by the presence of sophisticated air, land and sea infrastructure.

Meanwhile, PT Manakib Rezeki is a subsidiary of a company from Malaysia, namely Senandung Seputih SDN BHD.

President Director of PT Manakib Rezeki, Hamzah M. Ali said with the advantages of integrated air (international) and land access, Aerocity Kertajati will become the center and new economic growth in Indonesia, especially in West Java.
