JAKARTA - The government through the Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) said it would rebuild the Palu Industrial Estate facilities which were damaged by the 2018 earthquake.
The Director-General of Regional Resilience and International Industrial Access of the Ministry of Industry Eko Cahyanto said the impact of the earthquake and tsunami that hit Palu City four years ago on infrastructure in the Palu Industrial Estate caused the management office building to be badly damaged and unusable.
"On March 16, 2022, we have held a group discussion forum (FGD) which agreed that the central and regional governments will jointly rehabilitate or rebuild a number of infrastructure facilities in the Palu Industrial Area," he said in a press release today, Monday, March 21.
According to Eko, currently, service activities and industrial estate offices have been moved and carried out in temporary offices, while research activities have had to be stopped.
