Erick Thohir To BUMN: CSR Funds Must Be Right On Target, Don't Let It Go Undirected

JAKARTA - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir wants the distribution of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to be right on target. This is so that the funds can be felt by the community.

As is known, state-owned companies are often at the forefront of distributing CSR. Such as building bridges that are used as liaisons between regions by village communities to help build schools.

Erick said that BUMN TJSL was also able to become a driver of economic equality in the country.

"SOEs' social and environmental responsibility (TJSL) is very strategic in helping to realize economic equity and equal access," he said, quoted from his official Instagram @erickthohir, Thursday, March 17.

Therefore, Erick Thohir does not want the distribution of SOE TJSL funds to be undirected. On the other hand, Erick has also arranged TJSL distribution clusters involving 49 state-owned companies.

"We certainly don't want SOE TJSL to be distributed irregularly and evenly. So that the community does not feel a significant impact. Therefore, SOE TJSL is distributed based on clusters. There are education, MSME, and environmental clusters," he said.

Furthermore, Erick emphasized that he wanted to ensure that TJSL funds from 49 SOEs were really useful and right on target for those who really needed it.

"I want to make sure SOEs are there for those in need. Pray for us to always be trustworthy and present for the community," he said.
