Chinese Investors Interested In Making Cable Car Tours In Kudus, Central Java, Located In Ternadi And Colo Villages

JAKARTA - Investors from China are interested in developing cable car or gondola tours in mountainous areas in Dawe District, Kudus Regency, Central Java.

"The locations of interest are around Ternadi and Colo villages (Dawe District)," said Kudus Regent Hartopo in Kudus, quoted from Antara, Thursday, February 3.

He revealed that the foreign investors only expressed their interest and had not followed up with a memorandum of understanding or Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Chinese investor.

Meanwhile, what has been followed up with the MoU is the Tanjungrejo Kudus Final Disposal Site (TPA) which will be used as raw material to be processed into electrical energy for lighting purposes.

Then there is the vacant land of the former Ngasirah meeting building on Jalan Jenderal Sudirman and the former Matahari Plaza Kudus shopping center on Jalan Loekmono Hadi Kudus.

It is planned that the vacant land will be built as a hotel as well as a shopping center. If allowed, also interested in making Kliwon Market a wholesale market to be arranged to become a modern shopping center.

To confirm the cable car investment plan, the Kudus Regency Government also met with the investor in Jakarta to ensure that they are serious about building the cable car.

"The plan is that they will conduct a site survey first to make sure the area is suitable for the cable car to be built or not," he said.

Promotions that have been carried out so far, it is admitted that they have only been able to attract investors from China, while no domestic investors have been interested in investing in Kudus.
