Monitored By Khofifah, The Price Of Bimoli Cooking Oil Owned By Conglomerate Anthony Salim In Kediri Drops To IDR 25,000 Per 2 Liters

JAKARTA - East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa monitors the operation of the cheap cooking oil market in Kediri, East Java, so that the community is helped to get cooking oil at low prices, as determined by the government.

"We carry out this program at many points, sporadically, because we want to check prices in the field, especially when a cooking oil price of IDR 14,000 per liter is applied, starting in the modern retail market," she said in Kediri, quoted from Antara, Monday, January 13.

She also added that for one price, it is currently starting in the modern retail market, but for traditional markets, there is still time to make price adjustments.

Her party also added that the government had also set as of February 1, 2022, cooking oil prices using the highest retail price benchmark (HET). For the premium one, the price is IDR 14,000 per liter, the simple packaging is IDR 13,500 per liter and the bulk is IDR 11,000 per liter.

Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto hopes that with the establishment of the HET policy, it is hoped that the community will not have to fight so that it does not cause stock shortages.

"Now there has been a decision from the Coordinating Minister for the Economy, that there will be HET for cooking oil. As of February 1, with good packaging, IDR 14,000 per liter, simply IDR 13,500 per liter, and the bulk of IDR 11,000 liters. We expect distribution from upstream suppliers from factories to run smoothly," he said.

Meanwhile, the Mayor of Kediri, Abdullah Abu Bakar, was grateful for the market operations carried out by the East Java Provincial Government. Previously, in Kediri, a cooking oil market operation was carried out in cooperation between the East Java Provincial Government and the Kediri City Government in the amount of 12,000 liters.

He hopes that with more market operations held in Kediri, cooking oil prices will be stable in the future.

"Hopefully later, with the highest retail price in Kediri, it will continue to fall, everything will run smoothly, then MSMEs that sell fried foods, catering, everything will run smoothly," said the mayor.

In the operation of the cheap cooking oil market, around 2,000 liters are provided. Each resident can buy a maximum of 2 liters, at a price of IDR 25 thousand per liter.

Kusnatul, a resident of Bandar Lor Village, Kediri City, welcomed the operation of this cooking oil market. He has always been selling fried snacks, so the affordable price of oil helps him.

"In the ordinary Bimoli market, it is IDR 39,000, for the special one, it is IDR 40,000 per two liters. This is bought for IDR 25,000 per 2 liters, thank God it makes it easier," said Kusnatul.

Bimoli is a cooking oil produced by a company owned by conglomerate Anthony Salim, PT Salim Ivomas Pratama Tbk.
