JAKARTA - The women's doubles pair Febriana Dwi Puji Kusuma/Amallia Cahaya Pratiwi are ready to go through challenges when they make their debut at the BWF World Tour Finals 2024.

The closing tournament of the season will take place on 11-15 December 2024 at the Hangzhou Olympic Sports Center Gymnasium, Hangzhou, China. Eight top players from each number will compete.

Febriana/Amallia will start their journey in Group B against the world number two pair from South Korea, Baek Ha-na/Lee So-hee. Obviously it wasn't an easy match for Indonesian representatives.

"It's not easy against the South Korean pair, but we have to be ready with everything. With this rather heavy shuttlecock, we have to be ready to play all out, play tired," Febriana said in a statement.

Apart from Baek/Lee, Febriana/Amallia will also be tested against Rin Iwanaga/Kie Nakanishi (Japan) and the host's 2024 Paris Olympics gold medalist Chen Qing Chen/Jia Yi Fan.

Febriana/Amallia and their colleagues have tried out the training arena on Monday, December 9, 2024. They will then still undergo one more session on Tuesday, December 10, 2024.

"For field adjustments, it's quite good. Tomorrow there will still be one more practice to be finalized," said Amalia, who is familiarly called Tiwi.

The BWF World Tour Finals 2024 group stage match uses a round robin system. The two best singles/pairs are entitled to tickets to the semifinals.

Indonesia has gone to this event to end the title drought since Hendra Setiawan/Mohammad Ahsan won in 2019.
