French Preview U-17 Vs Mali U-17: Les Aigles's Dream Is Only One Step Away

France U-17 could be tackled by Mali U-17 in the semifinals of the 2023 U-17 World Cup (doc. LOC WCU17).

JAKARTA France U-17 will play the 2023 U-17 World Cup semifinal match against Mali U-17 at Manahan Stadium, Solo, Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at 19.00 WIB.

The two teams previously went through the quarter-finals with almost the same scenario. They both won dramatically through a single goal over Uzbekistan U-17 and Morocco U-17.

France first confirmed its way through thanks to Ismail Buneb's single goal in the 83rd minute. The goal stems from a follow-up Lambouder who hit the left post.

The ball vomit rolled in front of the goal and was immediately grabbed by Buneb. The incident was almost the same when Mali U-17 secured a semifinal ticket.

Soumaila Coulibaly's team also scored a goal in the second half normal time with nine minutes remaining. The goal was scored by Ibrahim Diarra starting with Ibrahim Kanate's movement on the left side.

After receiving a through ball, Kanate ran past the opposing player and fired a shot. The ball from his shot hit the right post resulting in a throwing ball which Diara immediately grabbed.

After passing the tough last eight, both teams will also be hunting for final tickets for the second time in their history in this tournament.

France U-17 had previously reached the final round in 2001 which led to the championship. While Mali U-17 did so in 2015 which led to runners-up under Nigeria U-17.

Mali U-17's ambition this year is to repeat the success and bring home the title. France U-17 is still seeded, but Mali U-17 is not a light opponent.

Moreover, the record that the African continent is the most successful country in the U-17 World Cup. Les Aigles is certainly motivated to bring Africa's name back to glory after the last edition of 205.

Les Bleus could have stumbled. Moreover, they still have weaknesses that have not found a solution. Final settlement is still a problem plus difficulty scoring goals in the first half.

Not to mention about mentality. If only Mali U-17 could lead first, France U-17 would be confused. The reason is, Jean-Luc Vannuchi's team never appeared behind.
