Bhullar Is Getting Closer To The Indonesian Masters Title

JAKARTA - Indian golfer Gagan Badminton Bhullar is now getting closer to the 2023 Indonesian Masters title after being solid at the top of the standings until the third round on Saturday, November 18, 2023.

Throughout three rounds, Bhullar has recorded a score of 20 under. In the first round he completed 18 holes with 63 punches, then in the second round he finished 18 holes with 67 punches, and in the third round, he completed 18 holes with 63 punches.

I played pretty well today. I'm just focused on my strength. For tomorrow, I will appear like today. As long as I can still be in the game then I will do my best. There is no special strategy, I just play the ball," Bhullar said when met in Jakarta, Saturday.

Regarding the course of the third round, Bhullar said he could appear calm and focused. According to him, both of them are important factors in their solid performance today.

"I think I can appear relaxed too because this is my 17th year playing on the tour. So I can look more relaxed and there is no specific burden," said Bhullar.

"I just showed my respect for this golf sport, then tried to play patiently. I think this is also the fruit of my experiences so far," he added.

When asked if there were other factors that made him appear dominant again, Bhullar said the presence of fans who supported him directly in Jakarta helped him to remain confident.

"I think their presence is very much my motivation to move forward and be confident. This Saturday, many people came and supported me, especially when my balls were almost in. It was a motivation for me," he said.

On the other hand, if Bhullar won the final round on Sunday, November 19, 2023, it would at the same time make him the first Indian golfer to win at least three prestigious tournaments in Indonesia. Previously, he had won at the Indonesia President of Invitational and Indonesian Open 2023.

Wow, to be honest, I never thought of that. I think it's really cool. My target tomorrow is to do my best. As far as I do, I'll be fine," he said.

The 2023 Indonesian Masters Tournament will still run until Sunday, November 19, 2023. The tournament, which will be held for the 11th time, offers a total prize of 1.5 million dollars or around Rp. 23 billion and has become part of the International Series from the Asian Tour.
