VR46 Apes Team, Bezzecki Endangered Absent At MotoGP Mandalika 2023

JAKARTA - Unpleasant news was received by the VR46 factory team ahead of the Mandalika MotoGP in Indonesia, October 13-15. Their racer, Marco Bezzecchi, is in danger of being absent due to his condition.

Bezzecki reportedly suffered a celengka bone injury while undergoing training at Valentino Rossi's The Ranch, Saturday, October 7. The claim was revealed by Italian media GP One.

The source reported that Bezzecki suffered a fractured spine injury while undergoing flat track bike training at The Ranch with other VR46 Academy riders.

"Until now there has been no official confirmation, but it looks like Marco Bezzecki suffered a fractured spine while undergoing training at The Ranch. A bad injury for the CR46 racer, who is currently in third place in the standings," wrote GP One quoted on Sunday, October 8.

Furthermore, regarding Bezzecchi's condition, GP One also said that the rider had to undergo surgery and was forced to miss the Mandalika MotoGP, in order to appear in Australia and Thailand.

"The operation is believed to have to be carried out by Bezzecki, and at the current point, appearing in Indonesia next Sunday, which will be followed by races in Australia and Thailand, will be a big risk," wrote GP One.

The negligence experienced by Bezzecchi is clearly a detrimental situation. This is because the Mandalika MotoGP agenda is one of the three headers scheduled to take place in the next three weeks.

After the 2023 Mandalika MotoGP, the race will take place at the Australian MotoGP and Thailand's MotoGP. The three races became a crucial moment in the race for the world title.

Until the 14th series, Bezzecchi was still one of the candidates to win the 2023 MotoGP. The reason is that so far they have collected 265 points in third place in the standings.

With the remaining six draws, Bezzecchi is predicted to be able to catch Francesco Bagnaia at the top of the 2023 MotoGP standings, which now has 319 points.

On the other hand, Bezzeckhi's worrying condition could also worsen the situation of VR46, who had previously lost Luca Marini. Rossi's younger brother suffered an injury due to an incident involving Bezzecchi in India's Sprint Race MotoGP.
