JAKARTA - The U-17 Indonesian national team reportedly arrived in Germany on Tuesday, September 19. There is no free time to rest.

The Bima Sakti squad immediately underwent training as an effort to adapt to the new environment.

"Today we held an adaptation exercise for 45 minutes, not too long. The team members had time to hold lunch together at the hotel before afternoon training," said Bima Sakti in an official statement quoted from PSSI, Tuesday, September 19.

Although he had experienced fatigue due to long air travel, Bima Sakti admitted that it was not a problem. His team can also quickly adapt to conditions in Germany.

"The physical condition of the players is tired, that's why we hold adaptation exercises so that they can get rid of their lactic acid. Hopefully tomorrow the training will be normal," he said.

"Iklim tidak masalah, cuaca di sini sekitar 20-30 derajat celcius, tidak terlalu dingin. Pemain bisa cepat adaptasi," lanjut sang pelatih.

As is known, the U-17 Indonesian national team will stay in Germany until October 23 to conduct a training camp. Not only that, but Garuda Nusantara will also hold several trials.

There are six matches on the TC agenda to fight various youth teams in the Bundesliga to improve skills and tactical awareness.

While in Germany, the U-17 national team was hosted by Borussia Moenchengladbach and Borussia Dortmund. The two Bundesliga clubs provided a number of facilities to support the U-17 national team's agenda.

"The training ground is very representative. There are four fields, we can use two of them, for morning and evening. We even get synthetic fields at the Borussia Monchengladbach training field," explained Bima Sakti about the facilities obtained by his squad.

This training camp is part of the preparations for the 2023 U-17 World Cup which will be held in Indonesia from November 10 to December 2, 2023.
