League Results 1: Persija Beats Persik Host 2-1, Borneo FC Beat PSS 1-0

JAKARTA The elite team of Liga 1, Persija Jakarta finally won from their last six matches. After scoring three draws and two defeats, this time the Kemayoran Tigers won. The City of Tofu team, Persik Kediri, defeated by Persija with a score of 2-1 at the Brawijaya Stadium, Kediri, Sunday, September 17, 2023.

The hosts took the lead through the original Kediri striker, Mohammad Khanafi. The 24-year-old, who previously defended Persedikab Kediri Regency, scored in the first half in 35 minutes. This is Khanafi's 4th goal score in 15 Persik matches, which he has played starting this season.

Luckily, Persija was able to equalize to 1-1 through Firza Andika. In the 68th minute of the second half, the player who plays as a midfielder managed to break into the White Tiger goal guarded by Kartika Ajie.

The luck of the Kemayoran Tigers did not stop there. In the 90'+6 minute, Persija got a windfall when the referee awarded a penalty. This opportunity was not wasted by libero from the Czech Republic, Ondrej Kudela. His kick was able to outwit Kartika Ajie, as well as give Persija a victory.

At the Segiri Samarinda Stadium, the host Borneo FC picked the full three points. This time the team nicknamed Pesut Etam outperformed his guest, nicknamed Elang Jawa, PSS Sleman.

Borneo, who mostly attacked, took advantage of his position as host. The attack carried out by Indonesian national team striker Stefano Lilipaly and his friends, finally penetrated the PSS net which was escorted by the Philippines national team goalkeeper, Anthony Pinthus. Borneo FC's only goal was produced by Portuguese defender Silverio Silva in the 90'+5 minute.

The results of the 13th week League 1 match put Borneo FC in 3rd place in the standings with a score of 20, Persija was 11th with 17th point, PSS in 12th place with the same value as 17, and Persik in 14th place with 12 points.
