De Gea's Role Behind Manchester United's Success In Signing Tottenham Hotspur Defender

JAKARTA - Manchester United was fairly active in the transfer market last summer. The club nicknamed the Red Devils managed to secure a number of new names, one of which was Tottenham Hotspur defender Sergio Reguilon.

The Spaniard was brought in on loan for one season. It was revealed that there was the role of former Manchester United player, David De Gea, behind the success of bringing Reguilon to Old Trafford.

Reguilon revealed De Gea's figure who convinced him to dock at MU. "I talked a lot with David and he talked about this club," said Reguilon.

"He told me that you will come to the best club in England," he continued.

The former Real Madrid player revealed that De Gea talked a lot about the club and the people in it. Not only that, his compatriot also describes the training ground, stadium, fans.

"He said it was extraordinary, hard to believe. He only had extraordinary words for Manchester United," said the 26-year-old.

As reported by Antara, Reguilon was recruited by MU to fill the position of left-back who is still left behind by Badminton Malacia and Luke Shaw due to injury.

The Spanish footballer appeared in the squad for the first time on the bench when his side lost 1-3 against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium, Sunday, September 3.
