WTA Champion Cleveland Capital Champion Apik Aldila Sutjiadi Looking At US Open 2023

JAKARTA - Indonesian women's tennis player, Aldila Sutjiadi won the WTA 250 Tennis in The Land title in Cleveland, USA in the women's doubles number. This result became valuable capital ahead of participating in the 2023 US Open Grand Slam.

Aldila Sutjiadi was paired with Japanese tennis player, Miyu Kato, when he appeared in the final round on Sunday, August 27. Facing Nichole Melichar-Martines (US)/Ellen Perez (Australia) who was the second seed, Aldila/Miyu managed to win with a score of 6-4, 6-7(4/7), 10-8.

"We are the CHAMPIONS. @miyukato1121 & @dila11 won their second title this year, beating Melichar-Martinez / Perez 6-4, 6-7(4), 10-8 in Cleveland!" WTA wrote in an Instagram post after Aldila Sutjiadi / Miyu Kato's victory.

The victory was Aldila's third time holding a title at the WTA 250 level tournament this year. Aldila previously also beat the same opponent at the ATX Open in Austin, Texas, USA, in March when she was paired with New Zealand tennis player Erin Routliffe.

Meanwhile, Aldila's first title was won in January. At that time, the 1995-born tennis player won the WTA 250 ASB Classic women's doubles title in Auckland, New Zealand.

This result is clearly a slick capital for Aldila Sutjiadi and Miyu Kato who are preparing to appear in the fourth Grand Slam event this year, namely the US Open.

The prestigious tournament will be held at USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, New York City, United States from August 22 to September 10, 2023.
