"I was asked to coordinate the preparations and readiness needed by PP PBVSI. From the government side, we must prepare it immediately," said the Minister of Youth and Sports during the inauguration of the 2023-2027 PBVSI management in Jakarta, Tuesday, August 15.
Dito said the government is currently trying to make Indonesia host world championships, especially sports that are considered popular, such as volleyball.
"I think the government's commitment to volleyball is very high. This is an opportunity that must also be achieved by PP PBVSI. So in the future I hope we will intensify communication and coordination," said the Menpora, as reported by Antara.
Furthermore, the Menpora, encourages regions to have a volleyball arena that can accommodate a large number of spectators, at least one arena on each island.
This, according to the Menpora, is an effort to advance volleyball to be more equitable so that later in organizing the league it can bring high income to the regions.
"So later the league will be healthier, the club will also be healthier, and will certainly produce better athletes," said the Menpora.
